The new site went live on September 12, 2026. The redesign replaces a conventional online storefront with an interactive platform that reorganizes Esmerelda’s existing education resources, including its library of tutorials and guides and its directory of sex educators across Canada, around a new interactive 3D product viewer.
The rebuild centres on a simple idea: choosing intimate wellness products should feel approachable, not overwhelming. Esmerelda’s new site presents plain-language explainers on materials safety, including why non-porous silicone and other body-safe formulations matter for long-term use and hygiene, alongside its blog and resources section, which covers topics from beginner-friendly guidance to pelvic health basics, framed around consent and personal comfort at every step.
The rebuild reorganizes Esmerelda’s education resources into an education-first experience rather than a conventional storefront. Its FAQ and community Q&A section answers common questions in plain language, and its sex educator directory connects Canadians with qualified professionals for further learning. On desktop, a new interactive 3D product viewer lets shoppers examine items from every angle before buying. On mobile, the educator directory, tutorials, and FAQ and community Q&A carry the experience, so the education-first approach holds regardless of device.
The rebuild was designed and developed end to end by BragDeal, a web design and development agency, working from a custom-built platform rather than a template.
“We didn’t want Esmerelda to feel like just another checkout page, we wanted people to leave feeling more informed and more comfortable. So we gave BragDeal full creative freedom to build that from the ground up, and they ran the whole process end to end to deliver something more distinctive than we could have built on our own,” said Bee, founder of Esmerelda.

Redesign highlights
- Education alongside the shop: The site’s FAQ and community Q&A, tutorials and guides, and sex educator directory sit alongside the shop, not apart from it.
- Body-safe materials, explained: Plain-language guidance on non-porous silicone and other body-safe formulations helps customers understand what they’re buying and why it matters.
- Immersive on desktop, informed everywhere: A new interactive 3D product viewer is available on larger screens. The educator directory, tutorials, and FAQ and community Q&A are available the same way on mobile.
- Built on a custom platform: The site was rebuilt from the ground up on a custom WooCommerce theme, not a template reskin.
